We are so thrilled to be presenting part one of a special “All About Sync” double event featuring Tyler McLoughlan, Founder and Director of The Sound Pound, a Brisbane business specialising in music supervision and clearances, composition, and sync representation for independent music across advertising, film and TV.
Tyler has so much knowledge to share about the sync world that we couldn’t fit it into a single night! So, in Part 1, she will cover six main topics:
– Copyright 101
– How to get your music ready for sync
– Where your music fits
– Who and how to pitch
– What sort of music people are looking for
– Common mistakes to avoid
There will also be a generous Q&A section, plus Tyler will be sharing a couple of example briefs.
Part 2 – later in the year – will see you have the opportunity to submit a song that you feel meets one of these briefs, and Tyler will be returning to have a Listening Session and discuss the submissions.
The date is tentatively set for Monday 19th October, but it will depend on shooting schedules for Tyler’s upcoming projects.
NB: it will be a requirement that you must have either attended Part 1 live or watched the replay in order to submit for Part 2. The replay will be available to all ASC Members via the Members Lounge section of the Australian Songwriters Conference website.
Circle attendance is free for ASC Members and $15 for non-members (after two free Circle visits as guests).
