ASC Sydney Circle meets on the 3rd Monday each month at Club Burwood, 97 Burwood Road, Burwood (cnr George Street).
NB! Club Burwood (97 Burwood Road, cnr George St) is on the north side of the railway line – not to be confused with the larger premises of “Club Burwood RSL” on the south side. https://clubburwood.com.au/finding-us
The inaugural guest speaker at our new premises will be Diana Torossian of DT Talent Management. She has been a feature of every Australian Songwriters Conference so far, and is a dedicated Writer Manager with the likes of DNA in her stable – winners of the 2016 Marcel Bezençon Award in Eurovision’s composer category for “Sound of Silence” sung by Dami Im!
More details to come but there will definitely be a Q&A section, plus the second half of the night will be the usual song critiques section. We do already have carry-over registrations from last month plus new sign ups, so email ascsydneycircle@gmail.com by midday Sunday 15th September to add yours to the list. (NB do not email the song itself).
You can play your song live (unamplified), or have a recorded version of your song on a device that has a headphone jack to plug into our speaker. Plus, bring 15-20 copies of your lyrics on the night.
We usually get through 3-4 songs… if you pre-register your song title and join us on the night but there is not enough time to get to your song, we carry over your registration to the following month so you don’t lose your place in the queue. In other words, if a song is not heard due to time constraints, the registration place is carried over. However, if a song is not heard because of non-attendance, the registration is extinguished.

Songwriters of all music genres and all skill levels are welcome to join.

Non-members (casual) can attend their first two Circle meetings for free and usually pay $15 at the door to attend meetings after that but for this special first night at Club Burwood (97 Burwood Road) we will be waiving the door fee for non-members who have already used their two free guest visits.
