We’re celebrating the end of our first year as “ASC Sydney Circle” (and our eleventh year as a songwriting community here in Sydney) with a special combined workshop and performance by Keith Armitage, a 30 year veteran of the Australian music industry. Keith was a guest speaker for our community back in 2014 and there has been great interest in having him back! He will be talking specifically about imagery and angle, and illustrating his points by performing songs during the workshop as well.
Plus, in the second half we will have a special end-of-year concert, which will also double as a chance to audition for Keith’s monthly performance night “The Acoustic Picnic”. The show will open with feature spots for some of our top-level ASC Sydney Circle performers, but in keeping with our inclusive and supportive approach there will also be open mic slots available. Plus, being the end of the year and a special occasion, we will be able to run a little bit later into the evening than our usual 10pm cut-off time.
Don’t miss the chance to learn from an experienced performer, songwriter, event promoter, and teacher, and to celebrate wrapping up a successful 2019 with #ASCSydneyCircle!
Join us on the 3rd Monday of each month to develop your skills in the craft and business of songwriting, network and collaborate with other members, and be involved in this supportive and cherished songwriting community.
Songwriters of all music genres and all skill levels are welcome to join.
Free entry for ASC Members.
Non-members (casual) can attend their first two Circle meetings for free and pay just $15 at the door to attend meetings after that.
Turn up to our great new venue, Club Burwood, from 7pm for networking, and the main part of the evening will start sharp at 7.30pm.
