This is your chance to pick the brains of Jan Preston, a multi-award winning international artist with a number 1 hit under her belt back in New Zealand/Aotearoa and a successful career in film & TV composition in addition to her knock-out performance skills.  (Her credits include the theme to Australian Story!)

What an amazing opportunity to learn about this specialised field from an in-demand composer.

Plus, as usual, the second half of the night will be devoted to song critiques. We do already have several carry-over registrations from October, so email ascsydneycircle@gmail.com by midday Sunday 17th November to add yours to the list!  (NB do not email the song itself).

You can play your song live (unamplified), or have a recorded version of your song on a device that has a headphone jack to plug into our speaker.  Plus, bring 15-20 copies of your lyrics on the night.

We usually get through 3-4 songs… if you pre-register your song title and join us on the night but there is not enough time to get to your song, we carry over your registration to the following month so you don’t lose your place in the queue. In other words, if a song is not heard due to time constraints, the registration place is carried over. However, if a song is not heard because of non-attendance, the registration is extinguished.

Join us to develop your skills in the craft and business of songwriting, network and collaborate with other members, and be involved in this supportive and cherished songwriting community.

Songwriters of all music genres and all skill levels are welcome to join.

Free entry for ASC Members.

Non-members (casual) can attend their first two Circle meetings for free and pay just $15 at the door to attend meetings after that.

Turn up to our great new venue, Club Burwood, from 7pm for networking, and the main part of the evening will start sharp at 7.30pm.
