* NB THIS WILL NOW BE A VIRTUAL SESSION RUN VIA ZOOM *

Given the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation, we are no longer able to hold any ‘in-person’ live Circle events until further notice.

However, we are going to proceed with a “Virtual Circle” by using the Zoom Webinar platform.

All the details will be shared in an email coming to our ASC Melbourne Circle mailing list tonight, and also in posts in this event, and in our main ASC Melbourne Circle Facebook Event.

We will also have a ‘trial run testing webinar’ at 4pm to give you the chance to get used to the Zoom webinar platform if you haven’t used it before.

Details of the special guest presentation:
Tonight we will be joined by industry professional and Melbourne-based Artist Manager, COLLEEN ZULIAN. She was President of the Australian Songwriters Association for six years, has been Event Director for the Melbourne International Blues Festival and Australian Music Week, and she has worked extensively in Publishing where she sourced, developed and nurtured new talent.

Currently, Colleen is managing Australian Indigenous artists ‘The Merindas’ and she regularly works with indigenous artists and songwriters, assisting them with career development.

The first half of the evening, Colleen will talk about publishing, artist management and other aspects of the music industry that affect music creators. There will also be an opportunity to ask Colleen any questions relating to songwriting and the music industry.

In the second half of the evening, Colleen will be listening to your songs and providing feedback and making suggestions on where she thinks your song could use improvement, if at all. This is a great opportunity to get your songs in front of a respected music industry professional!

The order for this will be based on a formal registration process, through the main ASC website. NB: just clicking ‘going’ on this event does NOT include registration for a song pitch.

To register a song pitch, email our Guest Host,  Elizabeth Usher at ASCMelbourneCircle@gmail.com by 3.30pm on Monday 23rd March.

Attendance is usually free for members and $15 for non-members (after two free visits as guests). Given the new webinar environment we are going to waive the $15 fee for this month.

Songwriters of all music genres and all skill levels are welcome to join us for networking and peer support at these monthly meetings.

DO NOT GO TO THE GRACE DARLING HOTEL.  WE WILL NOT BE THERE.  YOU CAN ONLY ‘ATTEND’ THE WEBINAR FROM YOUR OWN PHONE OR COMPUTER (AND USING YOUR OWN INTERNET CONNECTION).

Guest Host for this event will be Elizabeth Usher
